The Most Important Survival Tool - Your Mind: By Sgt. D

What is the most important survival tool you can have, a prepared mind. Those people, who have the most difficulty with a situation, usually have never thought that it would happen to them. I have seen people lock-up because of the surprise. When you get past that type of thinking, you can then start thinking about what to do to survive. This is about how fast you can start taking action.

You will also be a little calmer if you have thought about a situation. Military and Law Enforcement training is about preparing the employees mind and their body for those situations they might face.

So believe that it can happen to you, and start thinking about what you would do next.
